Help For Family & Friends
Abortion
We’re here for you too
We often meet close friends and family when they come with the man or woman involved in the crisis pregnancy situation for support.
However, our dedicated, trained professionals are also happy to meet with you, to allow you a confidential space to talk openly about how you are feeling about the situation and get informed answers to any general questions you might have.
A problem shared
is a problem halved
Standing outside of a crisis pregnancy situation and witnessing someone close to you struggling with it can be very distressing. In our experience, the pregnant couple may not actively seek out counselling. In that case, the best way to support them is by keeping yourself emotionally strong and well informed, both of which our professional counsellors would be happy to help you with.
What to do is up to you
Research shows that more than one in three women look to their mother for support in a crisis pregnancy. However, women who decide on abortion are much more likely to seek a friend’s support. Whichever role you play, whatever personal opinions you have, we will simply help you play that supporting role and inform you as best we can.
