A vetted, insured companion to collect your mam, da, or partner from hospital, drive them home safely, and settle them in. Booked in minutes by you, looked after by a real person from start to finish.
Here2Help was built for the families who find themselves in moments like these:
Your dad is having a knee replacement next Wednesday. You're in London, Sydney, Boston. He insists he'll be fine getting himself home. You don't believe him.
Your mam's discharge time is "sometime between 11am and 4pm." You have meetings you can't move. She has no one else.
You could put your aunt in a Free Now from the front door of Beaumont, but she's just had sedation and needs someone to walk her in, help her with the stairs, and stay until she's safe.
You're already minding the kids, the house, your own health. Your father-in-law is going in for cataract surgery and you simply cannot be in two places at once.
Four simple steps. About two minutes of your time. The rest is us.
Tell us the hospital, the discharge date and time, the home address, and any specific needs. Pay securely. Booking confirmation arrives within the hour.
You'll get the companion's first name, photo, and a short note about their background. You'll also get the car details and a direct number.
Our companion arrives at the ward before discharge time. They check in with the nurse, collect prescriptions, help with belongings, and walk your relative out.
Driven home gently. Helped inside, kettle on, heating up, food in the fridge checked. We text you when they're safely in — and we don't leave until your booking allows.
Three transparent options. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, no subscriptions you have to remember to cancel.
Extra hours billed at €30/hour, in 30-minute increments. Add as many as you need at booking time, or extend on the day.
Outside Dublin: same €100 base, travel surcharge for distance quoted upfront before you confirm.
Ideally at least 48 hours before discharge, but we know hospital timings shift. Same-day bookings are usually possible — call us directly at +353 1 234 5678 and we'll do everything we can.
Hospital delays happen constantly and we know that. There's no charge to reschedule within reason — just let us know as soon as you hear. If a delay pushes a booking past the booked time window, we'll quote the extension before you commit.
Yes — most of our bookings come from adult children living outside Ireland. You book and pay online; we coordinate with whoever is at the Irish end (the patient, a sibling, a friend, the hospital).
Our companions are skilled at handling this gently. They introduce themselves, explain why they're there, and offer a choice. Most patients relax once they realise the alternative was a stranger in a Free Now. If they truly refuse, we step back — and we don't charge for a job we couldn't complete.
Yes — we operate in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, with plans to expand. If you're outside those cities, ring us — we may already have a companion in your area or be able to arrange one.
We are not nurses and we don't provide medical care. We don't administer medication (we help set it up). We don't transfer patients with high mobility needs without explicit booking notes. And we won't accept a booking we don't think is the right service for the situation — we'll tell you and suggest an alternative.
