A vetted, kind companion to collect your relative from the Mater, walk them out, and bring them home anywhere in Dublin. €50, up to two hours of real care.
Book a CompanionThe Mater Misericordiae University Hospital sits in the busy heart of Dublin 7, on the North Circular Road. It runs one of Ireland's busiest emergency departments, the National Spinal Injuries Unit, a major cardiology service including the National Heart and Lung Transplant Programme, and a thriving cancer centre. It also serves a large, deeply rooted north inner-city community — older patients, working-age patients, people in single-occupancy flats, people from outside Dublin sent in for specialist work.
The streets around the Mater are crowded. Taxis aren't always easy to find at busy times. Parking is famously tight for collecting family. For a patient coming out of cardiology with a fresh stent, or a discharge after an emergency-department stay that turned into a three-day admission, none of that should be their problem. We make it not their problem.
Our companion goes to the ward, identifies at the desk, and walks your relative out personally. No front-entrance handover.
For patients being discharged from the Emergency Department — often at unsocial hours and with little notice — we hold short-notice availability.
We cover north city, south city, and out to Drogheda, Navan, Maynooth and beyond. Distance is part of the quote.
Many Mater patients leave after a stent, angioplasty, or pacemaker fitting. Our companions know what to watch for in the first 24 hours.
Need more time? Extra hours at €30/hour. Travel surcharges quoted upfront for journeys beyond standard Dublin catchment.
