A vetted companion to collect your relative from the ward at CUH, drive them home anywhere across Cork city, county, and into Munster. €100 base, distance surcharges quoted upfront.
Book a CompanionCork University Hospital is the largest acute hospital in the south of Ireland. It serves Cork city, the wider county, and significant parts of Kerry, Tipperary and West Waterford. It runs the Cork Cancer Centre, a national-level trauma service, one of the busiest emergency departments in the country, and major cardiology, neurology and surgical specialties.
The catchment is enormous and dispersed. Many CUH patients are discharged to addresses 30, 50, even 80 kilometres away — Mallow, Mitchelstown, Bantry, Skibbereen, Macroom, Fermoy. Public transport from CUH to most of those places is impractical. A Free Now or hackney fare can run €80-€150 one-way. A relative making the round trip loses half a day. Here2Help collapses all of that into a single fixed booking with a kind, vetted person.
Companion identifies at the relevant ward nurses' station and walks your relative out personally — not from the front entrance.
Drop-offs across Cork city, Bandon, Kinsale, Macroom, Mallow, Youghal, Fermoy, Bantry, Skibbereen — and further into Kerry, Limerick, Waterford.
Many CUH patients are leaving Cork Cancer Centre after chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Companions are trained for the fatigue patterns that follow.
For unplanned discharges from CUH's busy ED, we hold short-notice availability across the Cork region.
Need more time? Extra hours at €30/hour. Long-distance drop-offs (Bantry, Skibbereen, Mallow, etc.) carry a transparent distance surcharge — quoted upfront before you confirm.
